For Everyone! Our first all age worship service of 2019 takes place on Sunday 27th January 2019. Come and be part of our community as we sing, pray, read the Bible and learn together. Everybody is welcome.

I am still working hard to live the Advent season at home, every day.  Have a look at one of the things I’ve been up to recently on my blog: It seems as if it was just yesterday that the season of Advent was beginning, and yet here were are, almost at its end.  It would be easy for me to relax now and get caught up in all the excitement of last minute preparations – Christmas is so close, isn’t it?  And I’ve been blessed to have already attended a couple of Christmas gatherings with friends or family.  It’s often at this time of year that I get to spend extended time chatting and doing quizzes with those who are important to me.  But, I have also been aware of moments of creeping panic. There has been panic about presents, (what do you buy for an Uncle who doesn’t need anything?), about cards (I missed the second class post deadline, yet again!) and about food (what if nobody likes my cooking, will it ruin their day?)  I know in my head that these things a

Now that it’s Advent, I am officially getting excited about Christmas.  I’ve started to purchase the presents and my sparkly tree is standing proudly in my living room.  Don’t tell anyone, but there is also a pile of wrapping paper and ribbon hiding in the corner of another room. Clearly, I am excited. The thing is though, it’s not time for Christmas just yet, so I’ve got to wait to celebrate.  I’ve got to wait until I can open my presents, wait until I can have my family round for dinner and wait until the time I can stay up very, very late without feeling too guilty. Unfortunately, waiting is something I’m not very good at.  I seem to expect everything, now! But, maybe I am missing something.  Maybe there is something wonderful in not having it all immediately, in looking forward to the future and what is still to come- just like I take pleasure in all my preparations for and anticipation of the coming Christmas celebration. If you are a student or are of student age, you are invited to join us at our young adult group which meets on Sunday 25th November 2018 at 12.30pm.  Expect Bible study, prayers, encouragement and plenty of discussion and conversation, as we continue our study of Psalm 23. We meet next to the font at the back of church. Refreshments will be provided. See you there!

Our Student and Young Adult Group returns after the summer break! If you are a student or young adult, join us for conversation, Bible study, prayers and refreshments as we reflect on relevant matters of life and faith.  We gather near the font at the end of the 11am service.
