Many apologies but the church will be closed to the public from Monday 8th – Wednesday 10th July due to a private event we are hosting. We will open as usual on Thursday 11th July. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. Our usual Cuppa and Chat will take place on Monday 8th July from 10am – 12noon in the Tea Lounge and our Tea Lounge will be open all from 10am – 3pm on Tuesday 9th and Wednesday 10th July as usual. Smithfield Development at the Bullring is set to bring a new public square, leisure, shops, 2,000 homes and a vibrant market. CIGB Workplace Chaplaincy and St Martins in the Bullring have had Markets Chaplains for decades. Does development mark continuity for the Markets or something new? How affordable will new entrepreneurial opportunity and social capital be? Are you passing by? I think it’s time for a cuppa! From Tuesday 20th August the Tea Lounge is changing its range of teas to that most famous, independent tea merchant: Taylors of Harrogate. On sale will be a variety of teas from the more traditional blends such as Earl Grey, to flavoured and fruit teas. On a lovely afternoon what’s better than a slice of cake and a pot of tea on our terrace?!
